SC strikes down LHC decision, gives go ahead to Orange Line Project

ISLAMABAD: Declaring Lahore’s High Court’s determination null and void, the Supreme Court on Friday allowed the Punjab government  to complete the Orange  Line Project .

A  five-judge  bench of the apex court  gave the fairway sign bu putting  31 prerequisites to ensure that the undertaking transparently.

 According to Geo News, the courtroom stated it hasn’t noticed anything else unlawful within the venture and requested the government to  arrange two committees  which might oversee the venture.

Geo TV reported that a committee comprising  mavens would give  suggestions to the Punjab executive to preserve   archaeological sites  while the opposite committee headed by a retired pass judgement on of the Supreme Court would be sure implementation of the  courtroom orders . 

The determination which was  cut up four:1  used to be observed  8 months  in the past.

The lawsuits in SC started when Punjab executive had filed petitions with the Supreme Court after looking for professional opinion following Lahore High Court’s verdict ordering halt of the Orange Line development.
