SC dismisses NAB appeal to open Hudaibiya Papers Mills reference against Sharifs

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday brushed aside National Accountability  Bureau (NAB)’s appeal looking for to open  Hudaibiya Papers  Mills references against the Sharif circle of relatives.

The Rs1.2 billion Hudaibiya Paper Mills case, involving cash laundering fees against the Sharif circle of relatives, used to be initiated by the anti-graft frame in 2000 after Sharif used to be eased out of energy by General (retd) Pervez Musharraf. The  Lahore High Court (LHC) quashed the case in 2014.  The NAB just lately challenged the  LHC determination to  open the reference.

Political analysts have termed the Supreme Court choice a aid for the embattled Sharif circle of relatives.File Photo

Today a  3 judge  bench  of the  apex courtroom headed by Justice Mushir Alam Khan rejected the  NAB’s plea in a brief  ruling mentioning that the  detailed  judgment can be given later.

Justice Mzahar Alam Mian and Justice Qazi Faiz Isa have been different participants of the bench.
