IHC suspends Imran’s arrest warrants in contempt case

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday suspended the bailable arrest warrants for PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the contempt of courtroom case.

Earlier, the Election Commission of Pakistan had issued arrest warrants for the PTI leader.

Hearing the case, a three-member bench, led by Justice Aamer Farooq, directed Imran Khan to respond to the show-cause realize issued by the ECP.

PTI chairman’s suggest Babar Awan stated it kind of feels that just one birthday party is on trial in the ECP.

He confident the courtroom that the PTI chairman would respond to the ECP’s show-cause realize when it comes to contempt lawsuits towards him.

Later, the courtroom adjourned the listening to till Sept 26.
