Funeral prayers for Pak army officer Abdul Moeed offered in Lahore

Lahore: Funeral prayers for  Second Lt  Abdul Moeed, a 21 years previous Pakistan Army officer who embraced martyrdom on Tuesday in an assault in North Waziristan, have been offered on  Wednesday  on the Ayub Stadium .

According to Geo TV,   Lahore Corps Commander  Lt. General Amir Riaz, CCPO Lahore, senior army  officials and representatives of  the Punjab and federal government s attended the  funeral prayers.   

Moeed, a resident of Punjab’s Vehari space, used to be martyred when terrorists fired on an army automobile in North Waziristan Agency. Sepoy Basharat, who belonged to Gilgit, additionally embraced martyrdom in the ambush.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists focused the army automobile from surrounding mountains in North Wazirstan Agency.

In his message at the martyrdom of the 2 squaddies,  Chief of Army Staff  said  “Freedom is not loose, it prices sons of the soil. Freedom that we revel in these days is owed to such a lot of such bravehearts. Salute to our Martyrs”.

The National Assembly on Tuesday offered Fateha for Second Lieutenant Abdul Moeed and Sepoy Basharat .

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi additionally paid tribute to the warriors.
