ECP adjourns contempt case hearing against Imran till Oct 12

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday adjourned hearing of contempt of courtroom case against Imran Khan till October 12.

A 4 member panel headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sarda Muhammad Raza resumed the hearing of the case.

Shahid Gondal gave the impression on behalf of Imran Khan as Babar Awan, suggest for the PTI chairman, used to be absent from the hearing.

When the Election Commission requested concerning the place of a petition filed by the PTI within the Islamabad High Court to problem the ECP’s court cases against Imran Khan in contempt of courtroom case, Gondal stated the courtroom has do away with hearing till Oct 11.

The election commissioner adjourned the hearing till October 12, pronouncing the panel would give its determination throughout the following hearing if the Islamabad High Court didn’t come to a decision the topic.

During the ultimate hearing, Imran Khan has submitted a testimony with the electoral frame pronouncing he respects the ECP and believes in supremacy of constitutional establishments.

The ECP initiated contempt of courtroom case against Imran Khan for violating election code of behavior throughout by election in Sahiwal and Jhelum.
