Atoqa Odho liqour case: SC stays trial court from passing orders

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Tuesday restrained the trial court from passing any orders at the case of famend actress Atiqa Odho, until her plea used to be pending adjudication sooner than it.

A 3-member bench headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and comprising Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Ijazul Ahsan, used to be listening to a civil petition filed by Atiqa Odho, praying that instructions be issued to the trial court to come to a decision her software for acquittal on benefit.

In his arguments, Barrister Ali Zafar, suggest for the actress submitted that his consumer were excited about a false case because of suo motu motion taken by the then leader justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry according to information studies.

He contended that during those suo motu court cases, instructions have been issued to the government involved to check in an FIR towards Atiqa Odho for allegedly wearing banned liquor whilst travelling from Islamabad to Karachi.
